COASTAL BROWN BEARS
Scotland - Hebrides
Images are from the Isle of Lewis, Isle of Harris, and Isle of Skye. The Isle of Lewis and Harris is 24 miles west of the Scottish mainland and is part of the Outer Hebrides. It abounds with rugged coastlines and beautiful beaches. History is evident on the island from the Callinish Standing Stones (erected about 5,000 years ago) and remnants of Clan rule which began in the 1200s. The Gaelic culture and language continues to live today on the island.
Isle of Skye is part of the Inner Hebrides. It offers some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery. The peaks of the Cullin Hills dominate the landscape. There are many unique geological formations and fairy-tale waterfalls.
